At Shore Rentals, returning your rental vehicle is a simple and easy process – there are just a few things that you need to know to make the drop-off process seamless. Find out more below.
When should I return my car?
Please make sure that you return your rental car on the day and time as stated on your rental agreement. If you need to extend your hire, please call us on (09) 4880920, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. For your peace of mind, we allow a grace period of up to an hour if you happen to be running late.
If you need to return your rental car earlier than stated on the rental agreement, we can recalculate the total charge of the hire and refund the additional days apart from an administration fee. On the other hand, if you need to return your rental car after hours, please speak to our staff for further instructions.
What do I have to do before returning the car?
Before returning your car please make sure that it is filled up with petrol, if the car is not filled, Shore Rentals will charge you for the cost of the petrol and a service fee. For your convenience we are located next to a Mobil site where you can easily fill up before returning your vehicle to us.
We also ask that you remove any and all rubbish and belongings from your car during your rental period. If you drop off the car and realise you have left an item inside, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
What happens after I return the car?
Finally, once you have returned your rental car to us we will perform a vehicle inspection, and you will pay the remaining balance on your account. If you require an invoice, we are happy to email you a copy upon request.
