New Zealand is at COVID-19 Protection Framework setting Orange. 

It is our primary concern that our customers and employees remain healthy and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure compliance with COVID-19 protocols and travel restrictions, we continue to monitor government recommendations and updates.

The way we do business had to change, as did many other service providers throughout New Zealand. Our operating hours have been reduced temporarily until travel restrictions ease. Through the pandemic, we are committed to providing safe services to all New Zealanders, and we have implemented flexible options to get you on the road quickly. Outside of our current trading hours, we are also offering flexible drop-off options.

Although there are no lockdown measures, there are restrictions to slow the spread of COVID-19. You can still travel anywhere in New Zealand for any reason, and see friends and whānau/family. Improved cleaning methods

We are open and operating safely, but there are restrictions to keep our staff and customers safe to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.  We are following the Government and Ministry of Health’s guidelines.  This includes:

•             meeting physical distancing requirements

•             having extra hygiene measures

•             regularly cleaning and disinfecting shared surfaces

•             having contactless options for booking, pick-up and payment

•             making sure staff and customers wear a face covering 

Covid-19 Health and Safety

Based on guidance from New Zealand’s Ministry of Health, we have strengthened our already rigorous cleaning protocols. These new and comprehensive procedures, including enhanced vehicle cleaning guidelines, are implemented by our employees.

Our fleet of vehicles

Our cleaning and sanitisation of cars include cleaning and sanitising of all vehicles, with extra focus on car keys and high touch surfaces, and enhanced cleaning inside our office. Renting a car is a great private method of transport, where you can control who you travel with.

It has always been critical for us to keep our vehicles clean, and now it is even more important. Every vehicle we receive is thoroughly cleaned when it is returned to us. In preparation for the next rental, the vehicle is immediately washed and sanitised. Washing, vacuuming, and disinfecting are all part of this process. 

There is a focus on the following key touchpoints:

  • The keys
  • Column and steering wheel
  • Buckles and seat belts
  • Pockets and seats
  • The dashboard (instrument panel) and the vents
  • Touchscreens (entertainment system, GPS, etc.)
  • Console
  • Door handles, power window buttons, and pocket interiors
  • The glove box
  • The handbrake
  • Switches/gearsticks
