This month we see Team New Zealand battle it out on the water in the Cup Finals out on the Waitemata Harbour and Hauraki Gulf to see who will face them in March. The boats will be on the water from 13 -22 February, racing time will be approximately 4pm-6pm. Auckland Lantern Festival
Celebrate Chinese New Year and the Year of the Ox at the 2021 Auckland Lantern Festival, taking place over four nights and three days from Thursday 25 – Sunday 28 February, on Captain Cook and Marsden Wharves. The festival sees the public enjoy hundreds of elaborate handmade Chinese lanterns on display, cultural song, music, and dance performances, craft demonstrations, sponsor activations and competitions, retail and food stalls, and a fireworks display. This is a free, family-friendly event.

Waterbourne Beach Festival
Don’t miss out on New Zealands biggest beach festival at Takapuna Beach this summer. Waterbourne is a sustainable beach festival encouraging the protection of our ocean and wildlife. On Saturday 27th take part in stand up paddleboarding, watch the kitefoiling, windfoiling and windsurfing championship then see Maori culture and Kapa Haka performances followed by music by some of New Zealand’s best performers, Ria Hall, Kings, and Tobias.
